The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for:

• Promptly answer incoming customer calls to place orders for products.
• Enter sales orders and be responsible for all aspects of the order until satisfactory delivery to the customer is made.
• Research, report, and resolve complaints, problems and concerns that customers may have with all facets of product ordering, sales, and service.
• Track product shipments upon the customer’s request or sales representative’s request.
• Assist sales representatives with customer account issues.
• Assist sales representatives with a variety of correspondence to customers.
• Keep administration of SPAFs (Special Price Approval Forms) and SAFs (Sample Approval Forms), and ensure the correct procedures are followed.
• Send samples of Merit’s products to customers and sales representatives upon their request.
• Prepare price offers for customers.
• Liaise with shipping, marketing, quality assurance and manufacturing to ensure that Merit’s products are available as soon as possible for shipment to the customer.
• Create engineering drawings for custom kits.
• Track progress of and be sure that custom kits are manufactured in a timely manner to meet customers’ demands.
• Contact customers when payment is slow.

Job requirements

We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 to 3 years experience in customer service or order management, because there is little time to train the new employee.
A high level of English is required due to the international character of the position, and fluency in Norwegian, Danish is a plus.
Furthermore, the requirements include the ability to work under pressure and with deadlines, the ability to multi-task and prioritise, and excellent communication skills.
