About the job
1. Negotiates commercial aspects of standard contracts (PO’s) for Technical Materials and/or Corporate Services for the NL region sites and assists (senior/ Strategic) buyers in their negotiations if and when needed.
2. Primary contact with site departments and warehouses to define anticipated requirements to assure lowest total cost purchasing philosophy.Buyer must maintain relationships with internal clients and stakeholders participating in the supplier qualification process and champions continuous improvement on the purchasing process.Consults with other buyers regionally, globally, and inter company to determine synergy opportunities.
Job requirements
1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing or business environment including knowledge of business processes relating to Procurement.
-Fluent in Dutch and English (written and oral)
-Requires technical expertise in a sub-function (Eg. Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
-A good level of skills required in communication, multi-disciplinary teamwork and relation building, within the direct levels of the organization as well as outside the company.
-An advanced level in SAP Knowledge decision making, results orientation, and impact & influence.
-Team player, good analytical skills, negotiating skills and the ability to think systemic are required, beside a good
foundation of Leadership skills.
-Must be able to perform effectively with many competing priorities and ambiguous situations with limited supervision.
-Experience with SAP system, as well as MS Office, including Excel, Word and Power Point.
