GERMAN EXPEDITING SPECIALIST
The Expediting Specialist has an overall responsibility to manage and follow-up customer orders in regards to lead times, stock planning, production schedules and customer expectations.
You will be in contact with internal and external partners you ensure the smoothest possible service.
Responsibilities
• Answering all incoming requests regarding product availability or backorders situation
• Establishing a successful communication and business relationship with planners and product managers, distribution and customer service representative team
• Detecting trends or potential bottlenecks in the processes and work with partners towards solutions
• Acting as an interface with internal departments such as Logistics, Credit Management, Sales and Technical services in order to ensure top service and minimum back order situations
• Proactively offer suitable solutions to back order situations using your in depth knowledge on product cycles and supply chain processes
• Actively participate in team meetings in order to promote the Expediting function
• Creating and modifying current reports or working tools in order to gain efficiency
Education/Skills/Knowledge
The company is looking for a dynamic problem-solver who is solution-oriented and possesses a strong customer focus and attention to detail.
skills:
• High school diploma plus 1-2 years specialization in Business/Trading or equivalent
• Expediting or order management experience is considered a strong advantage
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and at least one/two other European languages
• User experienced with computers; excellent knowledge of ERP system & databases
