The Assistant Controller is part of the Finance department and involved in the complete Financial administration including all operating companies and sister companies in France and Germany. The Assistant Controller will report to the Finance Manager.
Main Tasks :
* Responsible for a timely and correct month end closing including a complete and correct month end file
* Provide support to all associates within the department so they can execute their daily job in the most efficient way
* Handle the intercompany reconciliations
* Support and document all financial processes in the department in line with the internal and external guidelines (SOX)
* Partly responsible for forecasting
* Responsible for consolidated annual reports, various English reports, budgets and forecasting towards the head quarter in the USA
* Liaison with colleagues in the head quarter
* Liaison with all ranks of the internal organization
* Contact person for external advisors and accountants
Requirements :
The ideal candidate has :
* a completed HEAO (BE)/ SPD education
* experience in an international organization
* an audit background
* a proven accounting track record
* experience with complex (international) administrations/salary administrations and Sarbanes Oxley knowledge
* a hands-on mentality
* proactive and communicative
* an excellent knowledge in French, English and German (in that order)
* Oracle knowledge or a similar ERP system
* result driven, knows how to collect and analyze information
