Our international client is a leading manufacturer of computer-video interfaces, switchers and computer-video scan converters.
Main Tasks :
As part of his duties as Account Manager, the Employee shall be responsible for all sales-related tasks in respect of the products distributed by the Company within the defined territory. In this position, the Employee shall report to the European Sales Manager, or any other individual that could be delegated for this function. The Account Manager will be specifically responsible for managing, organising and developing the Company's dealer network on the territory for which she/he is responsible. She/he proactively develops relationships with the regional dealer base, monitors sales, promotes products, conducts training and reactively supports the needs of the dealers. 50% of the time would be traveling, visiting dealers or/and distributors in designated territory. The Account Manager monitors the daily activities of the regional support team, supporting the Sales Support Supervisor on complex customer issues and requests, develops the team members, and creates a positive working environment. He will carry out his duties in close cooperation with the Company’s other departments. She/he will see to optimising sales department’s operation in terms of administration, accounts, financial issues and information technology (IT) requirements. The Employee shall continually work on improving his professional expertise, both through his own efforts and by making use of the Company's training and information facilities. The Employee shall take part in work meetings and in the Company's external events.
Duties and Responsibilities :
* Monitor Sales figures for regional dealer base
* Identify sales opportunities at various dealerships
* Identify and asses the solvency and sales potential of the dealerships
* Develop product loyalty among the regional dealers
* Proactively promote products via on-site dealer training
* Schedule and book dealer visit trips
* Direct sales and business development to dealers
* Support the needs and requests of the dealers
* Participate in dealer functions (technology shows, open houses, etc.)
* Coordinate and approve special requests from the dealers
* Identify key individuals (managers, product specifying individuals, etc) within the dealer ships
* Develop strong and lasting business relationships with key individuals in the dealerships
* Perform Travel Reports to document info gathered and create sales and support related tasks
* Follow-Up on regional proposals and bids
* Compete to receive maximum share of distribution products on individual bids and proposals
* Perform RA's for the dealers
* Enter sales orders
* Answer the technical support Hotline
* Perform call logs in the CRM
* Maintain the CRM dealer database
* Perform proposals and quotations
* Participate in the company’s Institute as a trainer
* Book and approve attendees for the company’s Institute
* Serve as an advisor to the training department for the company’s Institute on the Road
* Develop relationships with attending dealers
* Gather dealer info, sales info, and product ideas from attendees
* Perform Travel Reports to document info gathered and create sales and support related tasks
* Participate in lunches, dinners, and activities
* Participate in Educational lunches and dinners (when applicable)
* Participate in Programmers lunches and dinners (coming soon)
* Recommend and Book participants in Dealer Advisory Council
* Manage the daily tasks of the regional sales/support team
* Encourage the development of individuals within the team
* Assign daily responsibilities and tasks to individuals on the team
* Assign projects to team members and monitor the progress
* Report any unsatisfactory behavior among team and department members
* Assist team members in developing professional goals
* Train, counsel, and mentor team members
* Meet with individuals on the team on a consistent basis
* Organize and facilitate team meetings
* Creates a positive working environment
* Contribute to the operational activities and policy development of the sales department
* Attend sales meetings, RSM meetings, sales operation meetings, and other company meetings
* Serve as a liaison for other department's special requests for regional team members
* Assist in requests from other departments that relate to the regional dealer base
* Purchase competitive and peripheral products for the Product Development department
* Obtain competitive dealer pricing
* Maintain a high technical level on peripheral products
* Develop and maintain a high knowledge level on dealer activities
* Keep current on knowledge of the latest technologies related to video, audio, computers, and electronics
* Keep current on competitor's products
* Maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with staff, dealers, and members of the AV industry

Requirements :

* Must possess significant new business development & sales management skills.
* Managing and coordinating Sales from home office, preferably based in a Scandinavian country proactively developing new customers and promoting company products through training and education.
* Bilingual: English/ Danish, Swedish and/ or Norwegian.
* BSEE degree or bachelor in Sales required with 5-10 years experience in Audiovisual Market.
