The role: Speech Data Quality Evaluator (Temporary)
The Speech Data Evaluator works on evaluating text data to generate a readable script for speech synthesis and linguistic rules for target language.The candidate will work on analyzing textnorm performance, overseeing lexicon/phoneset, basic text decoding, and QA studio recordings.
Responsibilities:
* Proofread script sentences for language/typing errors, style, readability, sentence length etc
* Edit script sentences to maximize phonetic coverage
* Evaluate calculating phonetic coverage of the script
* Label text for disambiguation, expansion.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 1 year of working experience
* Speak and write Mandarin Chinese fluently and idiomatically
Preferred Qualifications:
* BS in Chinese or Linguistics·or Linguistic (phonetics) background
* Experience editing or proofreading written content.
* Computer literate, ability to quickly grasp technical concepts
* Excellent oral and written communicator
* Keen ear for phonetic nuances
* Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English
