The YouTube and Video team helps budding filmmakers and musicians build careers, creates products like Google TV and YouTube Live and runs collaborative projects like Life in a Day and the YouTube Symphony Orchestra. We are leading a change in how we entertain, inform and share with one another, whether through cat videos or footage of a revolution in progress.
The role: YouTube Online Partner Manager (Greater China - Taiwan, Hong Kong)
Google's line of products and services to clients never stops growing. Strategic Partner Managers have the unique opportunity to create a long-lasting relationship with our top partners. You renew existing partnerships, optimize deals and upscale potential opportunities. You cultivate these existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of Google's ever-growing suite of offerings. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to resolve contractual, technical and financial issues with partners in order to best represent our users, products and programs.
As a YouTube Online Partner Manager, you will use your interest for video, the media, and the internet, to acquire a deep understanding of our Taiwan and Hong Kong content provider's business and distribution goals and will then proactively acquire new partners for the platform and identify opportunities and solutions to promote greater account performance. You will help identify target partner groups and develop @scale solutions to onboard partners. In addition, you will be responsible for managing all "post-acquisition" partner activities and representing YouTube's user, product, and program interests to the partner. Responsibilities include giving launch support to new partners, planning forecasting and reporting partner metrics, driving new business opportunities, and ensuring prompt and proper resolution of business and technical issues with the partner. You will work a key member of a dynamic team, representing the needs of Taiwan and Hong Kong partners in partner program planning and development. Ideal candidates will be as comfortable in a partner-facing capacity interacting with content providers, as in working cross-functionally on programs to encourage/enable providers to make their content discoverable through YouTube.
Responsibilities:
* Acquire new partners proactively in Taiwan and Hong Kong, including top potential partners and programs to onboard new partners at scale, both businesses and individuals.
* Provide proactive partner management for top-tier partners.
* account planning, proactive support and optimization, new business development.
* Lead Taiwan and Hong Kong partner program communication and reactive support, including maintaining and developing new 1:many communications for partner support and optimization.
* Plan, track, analyze and report partner metrics for Taiwan and Hong Kong partners, and take ownership as leader of your market.
Minimum Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
* MBA.
* Experience in partner management or sales experience in an Internet or search company or a background in media and publishing.
* Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and influencing skills.
* Demonstrated success in process management and developing client relationships.
* Strong communication skills and ability to speak to business stakeholders, with fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese both spoken and written.
