We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to undertake overseas projects. The successful candidate must be prepared to spend periods of up to two months at a time overseas.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Business Development Manager and will be responsible for the following:
* Chasing up/ Analysis of new contract notices
* Preparing Tenders
* Financial control of projects including monthly cost reporting, sub-contract measures and payments, material purchases, valuations and final accounts
* Preparation of claims
* Liaising with the client
* Contract management when required
* Contract correspondence as necessary
* Regular liaison with Company engineers and contract managers to ensure successful project delivery
* Attend project review and progress meeting
* Represent the company as and when required
* Preparation of financial plans for contracts
* Negotiate and agree sub-contractors contracts and accounts
* Validate scope of works in joint ventures contracts
* Vetting and approving contracts ahead of contract signing including new forms of contract
* Participate in training provided by the company
* Any other duties associated with a Quantity Surveyor position.
Person Specification
The successful candidate should meet the following criteria:
* Third Level qualification in Quantity Surveying
* Experience in overseas/ International projects
* Expertise in financial planning and control of projects
* Must have excellent communication skills and fluent in English
* Strong contract management experience and negotiation skills
Accommodation will be provided along with flights. There will be an extra payment during time abroad for upkeep.
Salary will depend on experience.
