The Technical Account Manager (TSM) position is a senior engineering position within the Sales Department.  The Technical Account Manager is responsible for the relationship of the resellers within his region with our client on all technical subjects. In pursuit of that, the Technical Account Manager will have the following responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:

     Pre-sales

-        The Technical Sales Manager should be in close contact with minimum 75% of all consultants and all technical managers/ internal consultants of top 50 dealers.

-        Pro-actively make sure he/ she knows them personally and maintains a good relationship.

-        Pro-actively contact them at least four times a year.

-        Pro-actively arrange to visit them at least once or twice a year.

-        Pro-actively make them aware of all new product and their advantages when integrated.

-        Re-actively support consultants/ dealers in their request for helping on projects/ tenders.

After-sales

-        Pro-actively contact the top 50 dealers about completed projects

-        Re-actively trouble shoot on site at request of Application Engineers/ Technical Services Director

     Marketing

-        Pro-actively discuss with consultants and all technical managers/ internal consultants of top 50 dealers, needed/ wanted product or product changes.

-        Re-actively conduct research in a specific product group area at the request of the product marketing group.



Secondary responsibilities

     Pre-sales

-        Re-actively conduct technical training on site at the request of sales management

-        Re-actively support dealer shows/ trade shows,  etc.

After-sales
* Pro-actively intervene with trouble shooting/ RMA/ Driver call logs when there are more then 10 entries and a solution is not visible.

Marketing
* Re-actively translates/ checks technical documentation. (If applicable)

 

Personal responsibilities
* Be able to perform all the functions of an Applications Engineer, at the highest level.

-         Maintaining current Instructor Certification in all related company Institute course material

-         Maintaining certification in all product, test equipment, and technology areas.

 Reporting responsibilities

-        The Technical Sales Manager reports monthly on the visits made to the consultants and all technical managers/ internal consultants of top 50 dealers, based on the list supplied to him at the beginning of that year by the senior sales management to the Technical Service Director and the Senior Sales Manager of his region.

-        Makes a travel report of every visit.

-        Reports the result of the trouble Shooting on site and consultant’s projects to the Technical Services Director, the Application Engineer(s) of his team and the Sales Manager involved

-        Reports three monthly the time used for Pre-sales, after sales and marketing.

OTHER
* Fluent in English and preferably Swedish, Danish and Norwegian.
* Home Office in Sweden, Norway or Denmark
