For one of our international clients in the Amsterdam area, we are currently looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer.
Job Profile
The Technical Support Engineer provides active product support for our client’s industrial product. They are the link between customers and operations, ensuring all customer specifications are understood and met.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Qualify and handle technical enquiries from Account Managers and Customer Service Representatives.
Translate application solutions from Sales Engineering into equipment products specifications.
Price equipment products and solutions and deliver clear and concise equipment proposals to customers.
Manage equipment orders with design engineers and project management, ensuring customer requirements are met.
Problem/ Complaint resolution: handle customer problems by finding causes and recommending solutions.
Candidate Profile
MUST BE business fluent in English as well as either German or Italian. Additional language skills, specifically in Spanish, French or Dutch are beneficial.
Holds a technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Has 3-5 years experience in a customer contact environment.
Has experience in mechanical drawing/design work using AutoCAD.
Commercial affinity – ability and experience to communicate effectively and directly with customers.
Good questioning skills to understand customer needs and requirements.
Skilled to make communications documents, both on order basis, but also templates e.g. proposals, manuals, controls, installation guidelines etc.
